Official Rules of the With Illinois Selfie Contest

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Eligibility: With Illinois Selfie Contest (“Contest”) is open only to natural persons who are legal residents of the United States of America or the District of Columbia, who are above the age of 18, and public Twitter account at the time of entry. Contest may only be entered from and in eligible jurisdictions.

Contest Entities, prize provider (“Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement”), and their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, employees, agents, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are eligible to participate.

All potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. Subject to all applicable, federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Contest.

Entities’ decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

CONTEST NAME: With Illinois Selfie Contest

 Administrator and Sponsor:

Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement, Illini Plaza, 1817 S. Neil Street, Suite 102, Champaign, IL 61820

Sponsor and Administrator are collectively referred to herein as “Contest Entities.”

Timing:

The Contest period begins at 12 p.m. Central Time on October 7, 2019 and ends at 12 p.m. Central Time on October 14, 2019. Administrator’s clock is the official time keeping device of the Contest. Administrator reserves the right to reopen or extend the Promotion as it deems necessary in its sole discretion.

How to Enter:

Via Twitter, “follow” at @Illinois_Alma, share a selfie with an “Impact of Giving Is All Around Us” sign in clear view using the hashtag #withillinois. Entrant must be a registered user of a public Twitter account. If an entrant is not a registered user of this site, the entrant must visit www.twitter.com to register for free. Registration for and use of the Twitter platform is subject to its terms and conditions and Contest Entities have no responsibility with respect to such registration or use. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter. You understand that you are providing your information to Contest Entities, and not to Twitter.

For all entries:

An Entrant must own the Twitter account for which an entry is made. Only one (1) entry is allowed per person, regardless of number of entries submitted. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same Twitter account. Posts that contain inflammatory imagery and/or foul language will be disqualified. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated or mechanical means or that subverts the entry process will be void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or verified.

Prize:

Three (3) Grand Prizes consisting of one (1) With Illinois tote bag; one (1) Block I enamel lapel pin; one (1) With Illinois T-shirt; one (1) With Illinois notebook; one (1) With Illinois tumbler; one (1) Sheet of Illinois temporary tattoos; one (1) Sheet of Illinois decals; one (1) Illinois projection pen; one (1) Latest edition of STORIED magazine. Resale of items is prohibited. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depends on the number of eligible entries received. There will be only one prize per winner. Lost or stolen prizes will not be replaced. Prize does not include any other item not specifically described in these Official Rules. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned except as explicitly provided in these rules. Only listed prizes will be awarded and no other prizing or substitutions will be made except at the sole discretion of Administrator. Winners agree to accept the prize “as is,” and entrants hereby acknowledge that Contest Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize, including express warranties (if any) provided exclusively by a prize supplier that are sent along with the prize.

 Selection and Verification of Potential Winners:

Sponsor will randomly select a potential winner from all eligible entries on or around Oct.15, 2019. Sponsor will contact winners via Twitter. Sponsor’s decisions as to the administration and operation of the Contest and the selection of potential winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant or potential winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements outlined in these Official Rules.

Winners will have 72 hours to respond to Sponsor’s notification of winning. If no response has been received from winner within 72 hours, Sponsor will award the corresponding prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries until the prize is awarded. All alternate potential winners are subject to all requirements set forth in these Official Rules.

Privacy:

Information submitted by entrants will be collected by sponsor’s systems based in the United States and such collection will be subject to applicable United States laws. Entrants may withdraw personal data upon request by submitting this form at https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/7124965; however, entrant will be disqualified if personal data is withdrawn prior to the determination of the winner(s) for fulfillment of the prizes(s). Publicity:

 All entrants release Twitter, University of Illinois, and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, partners, equity holders, agents, employees, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from, this Contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize, including liability for personal injury, damages, death or monetary loss. Contest Entities assumes no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer relating to, or resulting from, entering or downloading any information or software in connection with this Contest. Contest Entities and its agents are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or late, failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest, or by any human or other errors that may occur in connection with this Contest.

General Rules:

The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, illegible, late, delayed or misdirected mail or email or other communications, or for any error in the printing or interpretation of the offer, the administration of the contest, or in any announcement of the winners or prizes. In no event will Contest Entities be liable for more than the stated number of prizes. No cash substitutions for prizes will be permitted and prizes are non-refundable and non-transferable except at sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest, in its entirety or in part, should tampering, unauthorized intervention, counterfeiting, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest, to be acting in violation of the Rules or any laws, or to be attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest by cheating, hacking, deception, misappropriation, infringement, or any other unfair playing practices, poor sportsmanship, or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other participants or Administrator representatives. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST.
