Social Advocates are an essential part of the week’s success. You can serve as a social advocate for your crowdfunding campaign, and should also recruit others to join you in leading the charge. Think about asking faculty, staff, students, alumni, or donors who are already committed to your cause to be an official “Advocate” for your crowdfunding campaign. With the help of Advocates, our message can reach an even greater audience. The best part? It’s easy! Share your message anytime through the social networks you’re already using!
Social Advocates can help by sending personal emails or texts on your behalf, sharing your social media posts to their own accounts, or even making their own posts to share on social media. They serve as a “grassroots” voice asking others to join the cause. They can also further their impact by making a matching or challenge gift.
