The College of Veterinary Medicine, often referred to as VetMed, is the most comprehensive veterinary facility in Illinois. The College has a strong tie to the community through the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, including the Small Animal Clinic which is open to the community as a 24/7 emergency care clinic. Other community services are extended to equine and farm animals as well. Each year, thousands attend the Vet Med Open House which includes demos and live animal exhibits, and is open to all ages.

Veterinary Teaching Hospital annual giving
Annual giving solicitations are centralized and run through Advancement Operations in the OVCIA. All of our academic units fall into what is called the Coordinated Colleges Campaign, which sends personalized solicitations to nearly all donors and non-donor alumni and friends throughout the fiscal year.
We do provide additional annual giving support to certain units on campus who has a primarily externally-facing audience. In this case, we raise funds on behalf of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital within the College of Veterinary Medicine.
